2005 marked Seadrift Operations’ best-ever results in environmental, health and safety. The site reduced its number of leaks, breaks and spills (LOPC) by 87% since the 1994 base year. In addition, the injury and illness rate decreased by 85%. These environmental, health and safety milestones were accomplished, while the site’s production rate increased over the past several years. The site contributed to its neighbors in the forms of Community Grants, corporate sponsorships and site volunteer efforts.
